A Tapestry for Renfrewshire

The Tapestry of Renfrewshire is set to tell the story of the Old County of Renfrew that today includes Inverclyde, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and parts of Glasgow.

About Us

The Renfrewshire Tapestry Project started several years ago with the coming together of local groups. We aim to tell the history of Renfrewshire in embroidery We use Timothy Ponts Map of Renfrewshire published  between 1583 and 1596 as the boundary for the project.  This is  the first record of the county,…Continue reading “About Us”
