Finally – The Tapestry of Renfrewshire Video Update – see what we have been doing over the past year and why!
Welcome to the website for the Tapestry of Renfrewshire
The Renfrewshire Tapestry Project originated with the Renfrewshire Creative Networks Heritage & Tourism Sub-group, and has now developed into a stand alone project.
It has been decided that the project would use Timothy Ponts Map of Renfrewshire published sometime between 1583 and 1596 as the boundary for the project. The Old County of Renfrew which the map depicts is the first record of the county, which in todays terms incorporates, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and part of modern day Glasgow (ie Pollock, parts of Govan, Crookston, Cathcart, Yoker, Scotstoun, Jordanhill, Newton Mearns).
